NFASP attended a meeting at City Hall on 26 March with studio providers and GLA Cultural Strategy and Planning Officers to discuss the provision of artists' studios in the city. Serious concerns were expressed about the ending of leases, the disruption of partnerships established during the economic recession, rising prices and the rapidly increasing difficulties encountered by those seeking affordable space.
The GLA have commissioned a survey of studio provision which it is hoped will provide the evidential basis for policy proposals.
